Well it’s that time of year again when it can be downright chilly here in Wisconsin. Don’t let that stop you from making your way into the great outdoors! That can mean a lot of different things to different people, but to us it means outside your front door. We’ve got the parkas, cold weather accessories, winter boots, and traction aids to keep you comfortable on your walks around the neighborhood or campus. Or heck, how about in one of our great county or state parks!
If you’re ready to get some on snow time let us get you outfitted in snowshoes for the whole family. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. We have snowshoes available for kiddos to grandparents. Poles are always a nice option too for some additional stability and more exercise.
How about trying cross country skiing? Two options - classic or skate. Both great. Different enough that it’s worth trying both if you haven’t yet. Again kids to adult sizes available. Have old skis you haven’t used in a while? Stop in and we can get them waxed in our ski shop so they’re ready to use or we can help you pick out wax so you can get them ready to go yourself. We also offer a special Birkie Wax service for our American Birkebeiner participants! We’ll have specific wax recommendations too as it gets closer to Birkie time.
We don’t rent xc ski or snowshoe equipment, but many of our county parks do. Always a fun idea for a weekend activity!
