Madison Public Parks offer free ice skating on 20 individual rinks around the city! Skates are available for rental during operating hours at Door Creek, Elver, Tenney and Vilas Parks for $6/hour for adults.*

The Ice Rink is an outdoor rink on the shore of Lake Mendota at 1001 Wisconsin Place. There is typically a $7 entry fee** with $3 ice skate rentals.

The Sub-Zero Ice Center at 1976 Observatory Drive is an indoor ice rink within the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center, affiliated with UW-Madison. Open skate costs $6 for non-students, with the option to rent skates for $3, or bring your own.
The Lake Ridge Bank River Rink charges $6 admission with $5 ice skate rentals for their outdoor ice rink located just south of Lake Monona at 6320 Inland Way, in Monona, WI.
