We’ve been busy this summer at Fontana Sports! Between Trade Shows, outdoor events, and being involved in the community, a lot has happened. Here’s a recap of the past few months.
Maxwell Street Days was a huge success – we saw tons of familiar faces and met so many new people! We hired extra staff, set up three additional registers, and we were all-hands-on-deck for the weekend. After four days of chaos, the store returned to normal but with some extra space for new products.
We participated in multiple of the Madison Night Markets, bringing racks and racks of merchandise outside, most of it being discounted. Joining in on community events like this really reminds us why we love Madison!
After a number of Trade Show visits, we’re glad to be out of buying season. While traveling and exploring brands is exciting, but it can definitely be exhausting. Now we just wait for the new products to come in, it’s like Christmas every day!
With the school year starting, we have been participating in various UW-Madison events us to form new connections and find new customers along the way. We had the opportunity to set up a table at New Student Night at the University Bookstore and talk with new members of the community. The following week, we attended Badger Fest where we got to meet even more new people! We gave out hundreds of coupons and had a prize wheel. On top of that, we ran a giveaway exclusively for people who attended the event, creating a sense of excitement. We also attended a UW-Madison career fair where we got to meet some potential new employees. There are even more events coming up this fall, so be sure to follow us on all social media platforms so you don’t miss out on any exciting news!
